We check the registration papers of every operator
Before a tour operator can send you a quote, they must upload their TALA licence (or the equivalent licence in their country), business registration, tax registration and, where applicable, insurance. Our team reviews each document, records the issue and expiry dates of the TALA licence, and the system automatically flags documents that are about to expire. Operators whose licences lapse are blocked from quoting until they are renewed.
Reviews are written by real travelers
Reviews come from travelers who used the platform and confirmed their email address with a one-time code. Each review is rated out of 10 and shows the reviewer's country. We do not write reviews ourselves, we do not sell placement in review scores, and operators cannot delete a review they dislike — they can only respond to it.
You deal — and pay — the operator directly
Quotes, itineraries and invoices come straight from the tour operator. We do not add a booking mark-up to their price, and payment for your safari is made to the operator using the bank or payment details on their invoice. Operators pay us for access to the marketplace, not a cut of your holiday.
Your personal details stay protected
Your full contact details are only revealed to an operator once you confirm you want to proceed with them. Until then, conversations happen inside the platform. Operator bank details are likewise only visible to travelers with an active invoice.
You can report a problem
Every conversation has a report option. Reports go to our support team and, where relevant, to the regulatory bodies that oversee licensed operators. Operators can be suspended from the marketplace while a complaint is investigated.
Our content is kept current
Park guides, seasonal advice and destination pages are maintained by our editorial team in Arusha together with the licensed operators and guides on the platform, and revised as park fees, access rules and seasons change.
What we do not claim
We do not guarantee the lowest price on the internet, and we are not a party to the contract between you and your operator. Verification means we have reviewed an operator's registration documents — it is not a warranty of every experience. If something goes wrong, report it to us and we will act on it.
